Sermon Audio
He Knows Your Name | Now You Know Week 1
Day 1: Encountering the Risen Christ
Reading: John 20:1-18
Devotional: Just as Mary encountered Jesus in the garden but didn't recognize Him at first, we too can sometimes miss Jesus' presence in our lives. Today, reflect on moments where you may have overlooked God's hand at work. Consider how Jesus calls you by name, just as He called Mary. How does it feel to know that the risen Christ knows you personally? Take time to listen for His voice in prayer and in the ordinary moments of your day.
Day 2: The Power of God's Word
Reading: 2 Timothy 3:14-17
Devotional: The Bible is a divinely inspired library. As you read today's passage, consider how God's Word has been "breathed" into existence for your benefit. How has Scripture shaped your life and faith journey? Challenge yourself to approach your Bible reading with fresh eyes, expecting to encounter Jesus through its pages. Ask the Holy Spirit to illuminate the text and reveal new insights as you study.
Day 3: Christ Died for You Personally
Reading: Romans 5:6-11
Devotional: Today's passage reminds us that Christ died not just for the world in general, but for you specifically. Reflect on the personal nature of salvation. How does it change your perspective to know that Jesus had you in mind on the cross? Take time to confess specific sins, knowing that Christ's sacrifice covers them all. Express your gratitude for such a personal and complete act of love.
Day 4: Recognizing Jesus in Daily Life
Reading: Matthew 25:31-40
Devotional: In Matthew 25, Jesus reminds us that serving others is a direct way to recognize and honor His presence among us. Reflect on how you can see Jesus in the faces of those you encounter today—whether it’s a family member, a colleague, or a stranger in need. Consider how acts of kindness and service can become avenues for recognizing Christ in everyday life. As you go through your day, look for opportunities to serve others, keeping in mind that when you do so, you are serving Jesus Himself. At the end of the day, reflect on these moments and how they have deepened your awareness of Jesus' presence in your life. How does this understanding shape your interactions and your willingness to serve? Pray for the grace to see Christ in everyone, and to respond with love and kindness.
Day 5: Proclaiming the Risen Christ
Reading: 1 Corinthians 15:1-8, 54-58
Devotional: Mary's simple testimony was "I have seen him." Today's reading reminds us of the power and importance of the resurrection. How has encountering the risen Christ changed your life? Consider ways you can share your own testimony of Jesus' impact on you. Remember that because Christ lives, we too shall live. How does this hope change your approach to life's challenges? Pray for opportunities to boldly proclaim the good news of the resurrection to others.
