Worthless or Priceless? | Windows that Witness Week 3
Day 1: From Worthless to Priceless
Reading: Luke 2:8-20
Devotional: Just as God chose humble shepherds to witness the birth of Jesus, He often uses those the world deems insignificant for His grand purposes. Reflect on how God sees value in you, regardless of your social status or past mistakes. Consider areas in your life where you feel worthless or inadequate. How might God be calling you to step into a greater purpose? Pray for the courage to embrace your role in God's story, no matter how small it may seem.
Day 2: The Potter's Hands
Reading: Isaiah 64:8-9
Devotional: The image of God as a potter shaping us like clay reminds us of His intimate involvement in our lives. Think about the areas where you feel God molding and shaping you. Are there aspects of your character or circumstances that seem difficult or painful? Remember that the potter's process often involves pressure and transformation. Ask God for patience and trust as He works in your life, knowing that He is crafting you into something beautiful and purposeful.
Day 3: Messengers of Good News
Reading: Acts 2:14-41
Devotional: Peter, once a simple fisherman, became a powerful messenger for Christ. Like the shepherds who spread the news of Jesus' birth, we too are called to share the good news. Reflect on your own journey of faith. What has God done in your life that others need to hear? Consider practical ways you can share your testimony this week, whether through words or actions. Pray for opportunities to be a messenger of hope to those around you.
Day 4: The Value of the Ordinary
Reading: 1 Corinthians 1:26-31
Devotional: God often chooses the ordinary to accomplish the extraordinary. In your daily life, you may feel unremarkable, but in God's hands, you are invaluable. Think about the simple tasks or roles you fulfill each day. How might God be using these to impact others or further His kingdom? Ask God to help you see the sacred in the mundane and to use your ordinary life for His glory.
Day 5: Astonished by Grace
Reading: Ephesians 2:1-10
Devotional: The shepherds were astonished by the news of the Savior's birth, and we too should be continually amazed by God's grace. Meditate on the incredible gift of salvation and the new life we have in Christ. How has God's grace transformed you? In what ways do you still need to fully embrace this gift? Spend time in prayer, thanking God for His undeserved favor and asking for a renewed sense of wonder at His love for you.
