Sermon Audio

"All The Way"

Day 1: Embracing God's All-Encompassing Love

Reading: 1 John 4:7-21

Devotional: Today's reading reminds us of the profound truth that "God is love." As we reflect on this, consider how God's love is not just a part of who He is, but His very essence. This love is so vast that it encompasses all of humanity - every person, regardless of their background or current spiritual state. How might your perspective shift if you truly believed that God's love is for all, including yourself? Take a moment to meditate on verse 18: "There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear." In what areas of your life do you need God's perfect love to drive out fear? Today, strive to see others through the lens of God's all-encompassing love, and allow that love to transform your interactions.

Day 2: The Journey of Sanctification

Reading: Philippians 1:6, 2:12-13

Devotional: Our spiritual journey doesn't end at the moment of conversion - that's just the beginning. Today's reading emphasizes that God continues His good work in us throughout our lives. This process of sanctification is both a gift of God's grace and a call to action for us. Reflect on areas in your life where you've seen growth and change. How has God been shaping you? Remember, sanctification isn't about reaching perfection through our own efforts, but about allowing God to continually transform us. Today, identify one area where you feel God is calling you to grow. What practical step can you take to cooperate with His work in your life?

Day 3: Assurance of Salvation

Reading: Romans 8:14-17, Ephesians 1:13-14

Devotional: One of the greatest gifts God offers us is the assurance of our salvation. Today's passages speak of the Holy Spirit as a seal and a witness to our adoption as God's children. This isn't meant to be a vague hope, but a confident assurance. Reflect on times when you've felt the Holy Spirit's presence in your life. How has God confirmed His love and acceptance of you? If you struggle with doubt, spend time in prayer, asking God to deepen your assurance. Remember, our assurance isn't based on our feelings or performance, but on God's faithful promises. Today, practice speaking words of affirmation over yourself, declaring your identity as God's beloved child.

Day 4: Striving for Christian Perfection

Reading: Matthew 5:43-48, Colossians 3:12-14

Devotional: The concept of Christian perfection can seem daunting, but it's essentially about being perfected in love. In Matthew, Jesus calls us to love even our enemies, mirroring the perfect love of our heavenly Father. This isn't about flawless behavior, but about allowing God's love to permeate every aspect of our being. Reflect on relationships or situations where you find it challenging to love. How might God be calling you to grow in love in these areas? Remember, this perfection is a work of God's grace in us, not our own striving. Today, choose one practical way to extend love to someone who is difficult to love, trusting God to work through you.

Day 5: Being "Watchable" Christians

Reading: Matthew 5:13-16, 1 Peter 2:11-12

Devotional: As followers of Christ, we're called to be "salt and light" in the world - to be noticeably different in a way that draws others to God. This aligns with the idea of being "watchable" Christians. Reflect on what it means to live a life that causes others to glorify God. How might your daily choices and interactions demonstrate God's love and grace to those around you? This isn't about perfection, but about authenticity and a willingness to let God's work in your life be visible to others. Today, pray for opportunities to be a living testimony of God's transforming power, and be attentive to how you can shine Christ's light in your sphere of influence.
